After her education as a registered nurse, Charlotte Oberröhrmann first studied Rehabilitation Pedagogy (B.A.) at the TU Dortmund University. She subsequently studied Rehabilitation Science at the University of Cologne (M.A.), with a focus on organizational development and on people with mental disorders. During her studies, she worked as a student assistant at the IMVR and supported the establishment and coordination of CoRe-Net. She also supported the procedure of a quantitative survey in OrgValue.

Since April 2019, Charlotte Oberröhrmann has been working as a research associate in the project K-APAT which examines the outpatient parenteral antibiotic therapy in the Cologne metropolitan region.
