Dr. Ibrahim Demirer, M. Sc. Empirical Social Research & Sociology
Profile
Ibrahim Demirer studied sociology and empirical social research at the University of Cologne and worked at the Institute for Sociology and Social Psychology. There, he dealt with the management, processing and analysis of quantitative data in the context of socio-epidemiological issues.
From November 2017 to April 2021, Mr Demirer was first a research assistant and then an operational project manager in the MamBo project at IMVR. In addition, from 2018 to 2020, Mr Demirer coordinated the Master’s joint study program in health care science. Due to his expertise, Mr Demirer is the contact person for questions regarding study design and methods for quantitative analysis.
In his dissertation, Mr Demirer focuses on the influence of mediators on the development of mental health in multimorbid individuals. A particular focus lies in the most causal evaluation of observational data using non-parametric, quasi-experimental mediation analysis techniques.
