Kurzbiographie

Christian Heuser studierte von 2011 bis 2017 Soziologie (Bachelor, Master) an der Rheinischen Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn. Von 2017 bis 2022 war er wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter in der Forschungsstelle für Gesundheitskommunikation und Versorgungsforschung des Universitätsklinikums Bonn und promovierte im Fach Medizinsoziologie zum Thema „Individuelle und organisationsbezogene Determinanten der Patiententeilnahme an multidisziplinären Tumorkonferenzen“. Von 2023 bis 2025 war er Post-Doc am IMVR, Lehrstuhl für Versorgungsforschung, und leitet das DFG-Projekt „INCASE“. Seit April 2025 vertritt er die Professur „Versorgungsforschung in der Rehabilitation“ und leitet vertretend den gleichnamigen Lehrstuhl.

Seine Forschung bewegt sich an der Schnittstelle zwischen Medizinsoziologie und Versorgungsforschung. Die Forschungsschwerpunkte liegen im Bereich onkologische Versorgungsforschung, Patient*innen- und Familienzentrierung, Gesundheitskompetenz, Multidisziplinarität/Interprofessionalität, berufliche Wiedereingliederung, organisationsbezogene Versorgungsforschung und partizipative Entscheidungsfindung. Das Methodenspektrum umfasst quantitative und qualitative Methoden, wenn möglich als Mixed-Methods-Ansatz kombiniert.

Vertr.-Prof. Dr. Christian Heuser leitet gemeinsam mit Prof. Dr. Nicole Ernstmann (Lehrstuhl Versorgungsforschung) den Master-Verbundstudiengang Versorgungswissenschaft der Humanwissenschaftlichen und Medizinischen Fakultät der Universität zu Köln.

Christian Heuser ist Mitglied im Deutschen Netzwerk Versorgungsforschung (DNVF) und der Deutschen Gesellschaft für Medizinische Soziologie (DGMS). Im DNVF ist er Sprecher der Arbeitsgruppe Nachwuchsförderung sowie Mitglied in den Arbeitsgruppen Onkologische Versorgungsforschung und Implementierungstheorie und -praxis.
