Kurzbiographie

Susan Lee ist Soziologin und wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin in der Medizinischen Soziologie am IMVR. Sie hat einen zweifachen Bachelorabschluss in Soziologie und Psychologie sowie einen Masterabschluss in Soziologie (Lehigh University in Pennsylvania, USA).

Sie promovierte an der Universität zu Köln im DFG-geförderten Graduiertenkolleg GK SOCLIFE „Sozialordnungen und Lebenschancen im internationalen Vergleich“. Ihre Forschung konzentrierte sich auf die Anpassungsergebnisse von Jugendlichen mit Migrationshintergrund in Europa sowie den Einfluss individueller und kontextueller Variablen auf die Ergebnisse.

Seit März 2018 arbeitet sie als wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin am IMVR, wo sie das Projekt EMMA-NRW (Evaluation und Befragung von Patientinnen mit Mammakarzinom in den NRW-Brustzentren) leitet. Darüber hinaus ist sie als Lehrkoordinatorin für Medizinische Soziologie an der Medizinischen Fakultät tätig.
