Theresia Krieger is a public health scientist & nurse with international expertise. After completing her bachelor's degree in Public Health & Administration (2006), she deepened her knowledge in International Public Health (M.Sc.) at Queen Margaret University (Edinburgh). At Bremen University (Institute for Public Health and Nursing Research – IPP) she was employed as a research associate (2010-2012) and was responsible for exploring the training needs of humanitarian aid workers. Subsequently, she developed and conducted the first summer school for employees of German humanitarian NGOs. Afterwards (2012-2015), she was involved in the development, implementation and evaluation of a complex stroke caregiver support programme for stroke (Catholic University NRW, igsp). At Maastricht University (Department of Social Medicine, CAPHRI) she conducted her PhD and finalized her dissertation, titled "The stepwise development of a comprehensive family caregiver support programme" in 2019. Since June 2019, she is affiliated to the IMVR in the field of medical sociology and has taken over operational project lead in the project isPO (integrated, cross-sectoral psycho-oncology) evaluation.
